What is an adult stem cell and where is it found?
A stem cell is a type of cell found in the blood, tissues, organs and bone marrow of your body. They are known as the body's "raw materials". Stem cells are unique because they can renew themselves or differentiate (develop) into other types of cells such as heart cells or brain cells.
